It’s not easy being a single 30something; it’s even harder being a 30 something divorcee with a cheating ex-husband.

When you’ve been married for 13 years going back to being single and dating is nothing short of a nightmare, your friends are all coupled up, in love and happy and then there is you, happily single but no friends who want to go out on a regular basis, no going out, how do you stand a chance of meeting your Mr right, or at least a Mr right now.

It’s all about finding the time to date these days, speed dating, internet sites what happened to cilla black and her blind date, and the personal section of the local paper.  we now have paddy McGuiness and his no likey no lighty, we knew where we stood with cilla 3 questions and a choice of date locations, now things are all lets go fast life’s too short.

I’ve never gone down the speed dating route myself, although I won’t rule it out completely I just haven’t had the pleasure or the pain of it yet.

Internet dating sites, statistics have shown that there has been an increase of 15% I bet its more than that, apparently there are more men on dating sites than there are women, interesting!

I bet over half of the ‘single’ people on dating sites aren’t actually single, I’m not saying this is a national statistic don’t quote me on this it’s just what I’ve found, and im not exactly an expert but 2 years worth has to count for something surely.

Im not saying its only men that lie about their relationship status im sure women do it too, I suppose and im not speaking from experience here, but im sure if your sneaky enough you get away with leading a double life lying and cheating just to have your cake and eat it, I couldn’t keep up, id never remember the lies i'd told, i can barely remember what i walked out of the room for never mind which person was wining and dining me that night, way too complicated for me!

Sign up free, says the advert sprawled across your favorite website of the day, what it doesnt tell you, is that for some sites you need to have your credit card at the ready just to read a message.

there are genuine free sites out there, but then you need to fill in your relationship needs, are you a leader or a follower, do you work well in a group does that matter you want a date with a nice guy, not applying for a job!

once you get past the needs, your at your profile, time to sell yourself, without appearing to be too desperate.

genuine woman looking for genuine man no players required, doesn't that mean anything these days, clearly not! No players required is like a beacon for every signal player to send you a message, oh i;m very synical!

Of course all the men arent players, so far ive came across my very own stalkers, mr too nice, mr my ex wants me back, mr ive got a girlfriend, mr i want to be friends with you, mr keep in touch, oh i even met someone whos fiancée text me at 5am to tell me to stay away, he swore he was single!

then there is mr photobucket, hes been airbrushed so many times he looks nothing like his profile picture, you may aswell be dating the next guy to walk into a bar, you get mr no profile pic obviously minging, or at least something to hide.

there is mr ill stand you up dont worry ill make you hang around looking like a right idiot and then you'll be left wondering,

of course there is mr why and what are your motives behind doing what your doing.

I've met them all, including the mr who forgets hes supposed to be wooing me, however i've yet to meet mr right Gerard is waiting for me im sure of it, one day he will come and sweep me off my size 7's and take me away from the masses of Mr wrong's..............
